The DFM Doctor is the controller of personal information submitted through this website. Questions about privacy can be sent to TheDFMDoctor@gmail.com.
Information collected
We may collect your name, company, email address, project description, dimensions, photographs and any files you choose to submit.
How information is used
- To assess whether a project is within scope.
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations.
- To deliver agreed engineering services and maintain project records.
- To protect the security and integrity of the website and enquiry process.
Lawful basis
Enquiry information is generally processed to take steps at your request before entering a contract and, where applicable, for legitimate interests in operating and protecting the consultancy. Contract records may also be retained to meet legal, tax and professional obligations.
Hosting and service providers
The website host and form-processing provider may process submissions on our behalf. Information is shared only where needed to operate the service, fulfil a contract, comply with law or protect legal rights.
Confidential engineering files
Do not submit commercially sensitive CAD through the initial enquiry form. Request confidentiality terms and a secure upload link first.
Retention
Unsuccessful initial enquiries are normally deleted within 12 months. Project, quotation, invoice and contractual records may be retained longer where required for legal, tax, insurance or professional purposes.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, or object to processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
